As a historian and independent researcher, I find that the study of local and regional historical sources enhances our understanding of American history. The local focus is on Cecil County, Maryland. The regional focus is on overlapping areas: the northern Chesapeake region, the Delmarva Peninsula, the lower Susquehanna Valley, and the tri-state area of Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware.
This web site currently highlights my new book Images of America: Cecil County, published by Arcadia. The book features 236 vintage photographs, captioned and organized to give an overview of Cecil County's history.
